Playgrounds
Franklin Park's three playgrounds are located around the park's edges. They are used by families and school groups and provide a safe place for local children to play.
El Parquesito de Hermandad (pictured) is located by White Stadium and close to Egleston Square, the playground has a sandbox, several climbing structures, a few large rock outcroppings, and benches. It has the only working water sprinkler in the park for children to run through on hot summer days.
Tiffany Moore Tot Lot along Seaver Street between Humboldt and Elm Hill Avenues was named for a neighborhood girl who was shot and killed more than a decade ago. It is filled with children on sunny days.
American Legion Highway play area, across from Angell Street, was built when the Mayor's wife, Mrs. Angela Menino, argued that the picnic site located there needed a place for children to play. It is used by local day care programs and families from the nearby Franklin Hill neighborhood.
